Privacy Policy

Last updated August 13, 2026

This is a plain-language summary of what we collect and how it's handled. It's not a legal document.

What we collect

When you use our contact form, we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, and message.

Our Services page also has a longer trip-inquiry form for planning a trip from scratch. Along with your name and email, it asks for your phone number (optional) and details about the trip you're envisioning, such as trip type, dates, budget, number of travelers, and your own description of what you're looking for.

How we use it

We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry. We don't use it for marketing, and we don't sell it.

How it's handled & stored

Both forms work the same way. Your submission isn't stored in a database. It's sent straight to our inbox as an email through Resend, the service we use to send email. Resend only handles delivering the message and doesn't get ongoing access to your data beyond what it needs to send that one email. After that, your submission sits in our inbox like any other message we receive.

To prevent spam and abuse, submissions go through a rate limiter run on Upstash. It briefly stores your IP address, just long enough to catch repeated automated submissions (about 10 minutes), and then deletes it automatically. That IP isn't linked to your name, email, or message.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand overall site traffic. It's cookieless, which means it doesn't use cookies or persistent identifiers to track you. It reports overall numbers like page views and referrers instead of following you individually across visits or sites. When you successfully submit the contact form or the trip inquiry form, we also record that a submission happened so we can see how the form is performing. That record doesn't include your name, email, or anything else you typed.

Service providers we use

A few outside services process data on our behalf to keep this site running, and each one has a single job. Resend sends the email notification, Upstash briefly rate-limits submissions, and Vercel hosts the site and provides the analytics described above. We don't sell your data, and we only share it with these providers as needed to operate the site.

Questions

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage

The world is being transformed by AI. At Pacific Cascadia Travel, we believe your trip deserves real attention and expertise.

What we don't do: We do not enter our clients' personal data or trip details into AI tools.

Human oversight: Every curated journey is reviewed and finalized by a real person. This ensures we apply what we and our peers know from firsthand experience, something AI cannot replace.

Where we may use AI: Advertising and content generation, template creation, review consolidation, general destination research, and other back-office functions.

One important note: Once your information is shared with a travel supplier for booking, Pacific Cascadia Travel cannot control or determine how that supplier uses AI or handles your personal data. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of the suppliers we book with on your behalf.
