How I Got Here
Every trip I've taken led to this one.
The Journey

First Cruise
Long before I could go
Small Town, Big Map
I grew up watching the Discovery Channel and paying more attention in geography class than in most others. What really got me was hearing people talk about where they'd been. My Grandma Shirley especially. Her stories made the world feel like somewhere you could actually go, not just somewhere you read about.

Postcard from Australia
The summer before senior year
Australia and New Zealand
The summer between my junior and senior years of high school, I went to Australia and New Zealand. That was the trip that settled it. Hearing about a place and standing in it are not the same thing, and once I knew the difference I was never going back to the first one.

Ha Long Bay, Vietnam
Farther out
Indonesia, Vietnam, Spain
Since then: the jungles of Indonesia, the islands of Ha Long Bay, the old streets of Seville. New cultures, new food, and a lot of sights I still think about. I left home a small town kid and came back understanding how much is actually out there.

Caught in a storm, Cozumel
What I figured out late
When It Goes Sideways
The last few years taught me the part I didn't expect. It's the people you meet and the moments nobody planned that end up mattering most. Trips go sideways. Some of the best things that have happened to me happened when they did.

Pacific Cascadia Travel
That's why I started Pacific Cascadia Travel. I want to take the planning and logistics off your plate so you can focus on the trip itself. I'd love to help you get out there.

How We Use AI
AI is changing a lot of things. Planning your trip isn't one of them.
We don't put your information into AI tools. Not your personal details, not your trip.
A person builds your trip. Every itinerary is reviewed and finalized by us. Firsthand experience, ours and our colleagues', is the part AI can't do.
Where we do use it: back-office work. Marketing content, templates, consolidating reviews, general destination research.
One thing we can't control: once your information goes to a travel supplier to make a booking, how that supplier uses AI is up to them. We'd encourage you to read their privacy policies.
The full statement is in our privacy policy.
